Development activity in Port Dover and Port Rowan has accounted for between 50% and 60% of Norfolk County’s residential building permit activity in recent years. On the west it is bordered by a nature reserve created around the recently constructed headquarters of Bird Studies Canada. The subdivision is being developed in phases with a mix of densities and styles associated with ravine lots, wooded areas, and the Long Point Bay natural area buffer.
Backus / Jaz
The Backus / Jaz subdivision is located only a short walk from Port Rowan’s shops and boutiques near the north western quadrant of the community. Individuals can purchase a fully serviced lot and coordinate the construction process with the help of a general contractor, or purchase newly constructed homes. This subdivision is currently configured for single family dwellings.
